About the event

Timbre Trio invites you to an evening of music, reflection, and shared humanity in Turning Toward the Light, an evocative concert exploring the path from disruption to clarity.

Presented at Beverley Hills Community United Methodist Church, this program traces an emotional journey through uncertainty, fracture, memory, longing, and renewal. The evening begins in a world unsettled — politically, emotionally, and spiritually — where ideals are tested by conflict, exhaustion, and disillusionment. Through traditional and contemporary folk songs, the music gradually turns inward toward reflection and intimacy before opening outward again into resilience, community, and shared song.

Rather than offering easy answers, Turning Toward the Light follows the folk tradition of bearing witness: acknowledging sorrow and confusion while still insisting on hope, connection, and the sustaining power of music itself. With rich vocal harmonies and thoughtful storytelling, Timbre Trio invites listeners into an experience that is both deeply personal and profoundly communal.
